Free text tools, explained
Pixeld Text is a lightweight workspace for common editing jobs that are annoying to do by hand. Use the case converter to reformat headings, identifiers, notes, or pasted copy; clean messy whitespace and duplicate lines; or compare two versions of text before you publish, review, or commit a change.
The tools are designed to stay fast and predictable. Processing happens in your browser, so the text you enter does not need to be uploaded to a server. You can move between conversion, cleanup, and comparison without creating an account or installing an editor extension.
- What does the case converter do?
- It changes pasted text into sentence, title, upper, lower, camel, snake, or kebab case in your browser.
- Does Pixeld Text store my text?
- No. Text processing happens locally in your browser and the app does not save the text you enter.
- Which text tools are free?
- The case converter, text cleaner, and side-by-side text comparison tool are all free to use.
How to convert text case online
Use this tool to repair all-caps notes, standardize headings, or prepare names for variables and URL slugs. Acronyms and proper names may need a manual correction after conversion.
- Paste your text into the input box.
- Choose uppercase, lowercase, sentence case, capitalized case, or a developer format.
- Check the preview, then copy it or download a text file.
Example
Input: Summer reading list → UPPERCASE: SUMMER READING LIST → snake_case: summer_reading_list → camelCase: summerReadingList
What to check before copying
- Sentence case capitalizes the first character of the whole input and lowercases the rest. It does not detect every sentence or preserve names automatically.
- Capitalized Case starts each word with a capital. It does not apply editorial title-case rules for short words such as “and” or “of”.
- Developer formats split words at spaces, underscores, hyphens, and lowercase-to-uppercase boundaries. Review punctuation before using the result as a code identifier.
Text is processed locally in your browser. No account is required. Save a copy of important source text before changing it.
